Heres the deal: Motherboard has power and all the lights come on, just need help with the beeps. Getting 1 long, 2 short beeps. Manual for motherboard( ASUS P5E LGA 775 Intel X38 ATX Intel) says "cant detect memory". Does this mean cant detect RAM or HDD? Also, when troubleshooting on the net, 1 long 2 shorts means video card problem. Little help would be appreciated, thanks! And yes this is my very first system build...

First I would try 1 ram stick at a time.

Also, if you think it is video card take out the video card and try to boot. I understand that you will not be able to see anything but you will know if it post or not.
