I'm running Vista 32-bit on my Gateway GT5676 desktop with service pack 2 installed. My SuperMulti DVD drive (with Labelflash Technology) won't read or write CD-R. I can write to DVD just find. The drive specs say that it should read and write all types of media. I've tried downloading the drivers from Gateway but it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

Does it detect pressed CDs? If it doesn't the CD laser may have died (a different laser is used for DVD).
