I ordered GA-EP45-DS3R Mobo should be coming in tommorrow

Infact I bought a bunch of stuff.. sigh ok ill just go over everything I bought. For my new build

But really I have a few questions since I am a begginner. I know all reviews say this MOBO needs the bios flashed.. If i go to gigabytes website and download the f9bios.exe file and run it.. is that considered flashing it? Or do I need to do something else to flash the bios to a newer version?

thats really all i needed to know is about the bios.. and maybe what you think of my build I have coming in tommorrow? Btw it will be going into a antec 900 case.

It seems pretty simple... plug everything in, load up windows and thats it? I mean is there anyhting else Ill need to do???

heres my build coming in the mail tomorrow.

No, I don't think you need to flash the bios. If it doesn't support the cpu, you can't flash the bios with that cpu. FYI, P45 is a new chipset and it will support 45nm out of the box:

See the F5 which supports the cpu & is the oldest. If you insist on flashing the bios, which I recommend against, download F9 (don't even touch beta bios), unzip it, copy the *.F9 file to a floppy (will probably brick your mobo) or better yet a usb drive or a flash card in a card reader (safest way), restart pc, tap END key at post, direct Q-Flash to the bios, update it, press any key after, tap DEL key at post, load bios default, save & exit.
