get some cat 5 cables and plug a few people into it. thats your best bet.

if the router is not located in the same room/area you are gaming in, you loosing som performance there, but other than that there is not much you can do.

You have reached the limit of wireless n :-)

alternativily you could try loading your linksys with linux, i'm sure there are some tweaks you can do in there that could improve things. but if your using the basic firmware that came with the router. you cant do much about it.

When i host lan parties, i just plug everyone directly into a 16 port router. cant beat that. Especially when people need to install games that are stored on other peoples computers, or need to update games etc. the bandwith of a hardwired router pwns wireless.

there in lies the problem we're in a barracks now with separate rooms and wires goin everywhere isnt really aplicable and when we get overseas we may be in tents or 2 man huts so wires again an issue, we just got a really good gaming router that has 1000mbs so that helped out a little, another guy and i are planning on making a small server to host the games in hope that it will work we plan on maxin out the ram and getting a decent processor, how well do you think that may work

Even N isn't a perfect connection. It may be stronger signal and higher bandwidth, but it's signal quality that can suffer for various reasons.
