Disk Management Partition Error

Used Vista Disk Management Tool to create a 100GB partition on my 1TB Hard. Didn't work. When I rebooted my computer - the 100GB that was suppose to partitioned is now lost to the ether. The 1Tb now has 100GB less free memory and there is not partition.

"Didn't work" is not enough information. Try posting a screenshot of the disk management output, and what exactly you tried and want to accomplish.
