does anyone have a link to a website that lets you search by monitor model # and tells you the type of lcd panel (type, manufacturer, etc.) that is used in it.

ie: search for benq fp241w results au optronics, m-pva, etc. etc.

i used to have it bookmarked but don't anymore.

I don't know of any website like that in particular, but NewEgg and most e-tailers worth a damn will give you accurate results if you search by model number.

Every item @ ncix.com usually has forum posts/discussion topics about stuff like this and other options on the item's page (different from user reviews, but there are those as well).
