I am looking to build a gaming computer and am trying to decide on the motherboard, I will almost certainly be getting a 4870x2 and also don't want to spend extra money for DDR3 RAM. In fact I've already bought
4G of DDR2 800 (PC 6400) RAM.

I was thinking of getting this ASRock Mobo since it gives me the option to do DDR3 later on as well as offering Crossfire support. However, I don't really see myself getting another 4870x2 anytime soon so I was hoping for some suggestions on other good, reliable motherboards that are also cheaper.

Thoughts?

This should do. GA-EP45-DS3L is the p45 replacement for the once insanely popular p35 GA-P35-DS3L, considered a legend among overclockers. It once had a its own stickied thread in the oc section. Same reference board, only with the current p45 chipset replacing p35. Performance is on par with x38/48, only no cf support.

Yeah definitely go for the Gigabyte P45, I love my Gigabyte P35 and it handles my 4870 X2 quite well.
