In short: you can either
a) change the FSB to RAM ratio, or
b) increase the FSB to 500MHz. (ratio should be 2 here - or 1:1)
c) set FSB to 250, with a ratio of 4 - or 2:1.
a) overclocks only the memory; but the FSB/CPU won't be in sync with the memory;
b) and c) change the clock for the memory, the CPU and the FSB, and the memory is in sync with the CPU/FSB; but you might need higher voltages for the NorthBridge and CPU, and better cooling.
You will need to change some setting to manual in the BIOS to be able to change the FSB, ratio and voltages.
Note: If you have an Award BIOS, press CTRL+F1 in the main BIOS screen. This unhides several settings.
If you can't manage with the info above, please describe in more detail what the default settings are there for your system and what options you have in BIOS.
Also check the Overclocking guides on this forum.
8GB is a lot of RAM for that speed... It may be that your Mobo can't run that much, that hard.
