The PC will be as Follows, building it over the next few months
Mobo - 790i Ultra EVGA
CPU - QX9650
3 x Sli 280 GTX GFx cards
1500w Thermaltake (w0218) (awaiting its release)

I'd like at least 1/2 hour of power time, not expecting game play for that long, just time to quit, finish what i'm doing and shutdown safely.
What would be recommended??

Thanking you in Advance

30 mins of power time at idle or load? Load will cost you hundreds of dollars for the ups alone, depending on the actual wattage draw. At idle the pc would use about a few hundred watts. You can have a 1000W UPS for about 200 bucks, depending on the brand. Look into APC & Belkin.

invisik... 3 GTX280's in tri-sli will consume alot more than 650w underload...

i say, run only 1 GTX280 for now on a good 550w and go mad when you get the Thermaltake, dont plug the other two in, you wont need all 3 running if your not planning to game that much at the moment.
