creative Gigaworks G500 vs Logitech G51

40% gamming
30% music

g500 are 310rms and the g51 are 155rms, which means the g500 are louder from the g51 in 100%?
if i buy abit ip35-E MB, it will be alot better with M-Audio Revulotion 5.1 sound card? or its not worth the price?
btw ther is solution for the subwoffer heating in g500?

I know this is off topic but I believe dell is selling the logitec z5500 for like 210. It has optical and digital coax input which would be great for gaming consoles. Plus it's much better then either of the two systems your asking about.

I cant afford the z5500, where i living z5500 cost alot, like more 50% from the g500.

Out of these 2 sets g500 looks like a winner, but no, it won't be twice as loud. Power increase is linear but humans do not hear linearly so the difference in loudness would be smaller. G500 has more power and that has impact on audio accuracy which will be defenitely better. For gaming and movies you want a powerfull woofer but you do not want it to be boomy for music. G500s are meant to be like that. I had a similar set S750 a while ago and it was fabulous.

Actually, double the power gives you a 3db increase (quite small, actually), and it depends on other factors too, such as the efficiency of the speaker. That having been said, the Creative looks like the better choice.

I dont want to buy speakers for one year ):
i didnt understand the problom, if ill put a 120mm fan on woofer, it will help?

Its funny. The Logitech Z5500's are pretty highly thought of for computer speakers. It is a lot of bang for the buck, but they lack SO MUCH MIDRANGE that they really end up sounding bottom heavy for music. I think you'd be better of with the G5500's. ...but to be honest, I think you'd be happier with an entry level home theater-in-a-box for $200, and you'd get more utility from it.

A fan is always a good thing but you should not have to use one. Just make sure their the airflow behind and on sides of the sub is not blocked. If it is or you live in sauna any amp will blow sooner than later, no matter what brand.
