Why DNS not found? (Zire 71/Connect WiFi card)

Yes, I know the 71 is discontinued, but everything I read assured me that the
Sandisk memoryless WiFi SD card was compatible with that and *only* that model.
So I figured there's life in the old girl yet.

But I've had the card for almost a month now, and every time I try for a public
LAN, I can detect them, connect to them, etc. I just can't find DNS. So the
free trial period on the nWeb browser is about to expire and I have yet to get
it to actually *do* anything.

Is there a patch for the utility, or a setting I'm overlooking, that will make
this card useful for something?
