I have 420W psu, which is sufficient with my current system (2gb corsair/amd x2 @2,6GHz/8600gt), I even think maybe it could handle that new shiny 4850, but the problem is - psu dont have required 6-pin connection. Can i just use standart connection to hard drive and use 12v and ground wires to split them to 6pin connector?
additional question - could i use second psu (i have another 420w spare one) to power just video card? synchronizing both psu's power-on won't be a problem.
The connector will work, but does your PSU have the required AMP for +12V. And syncing PSU's isn't for the regular user due to grounding etc. Please don't.
