P-D 3.4GHZ
2GB ram 667
160GB
Gigabyte 945 GZME-RH
XFX 8800GTS 320MB xxx
Termaltake Tr2 470W
Raidmax Saggita

Now it has a bottle neck which is really affecting games. So i want your opinions on what i should buy. I have a budget of 300$ for the computer + i need advice for a 24" LCD with HDMI for around 400$ thanks!

Upgrading the video card would help, there are lots of cheap options. A CPU upgrade would also help. Those are the two things that I would concentrate on.

------------------------------ Intel qx9650 @3.81GHz (10x multi) + EVGA 780i SLI mobo @381MHz FSB
2x EVGA 8800GT 512mb OC'd, OCZ DDR2 1066MHz 4gb
OCZ 850W PSU, Seagate 750GB HDD SATA 32mb cache CM Stacker 830 SE
Sound setup: FireFace 800, JBL 4328 speakers

But my video card is pretty strong. Its just my CPU is bottle necking it a lot! Can you tell me the cheapest CPU that would not do a bottle neck? And please help me with the other things...

The video card ends up making a huge difference in game performance, even more so than a CPU upgrade, especially in cheap computers, plus it's cheap to get a good video card to replace the one you have, which is alright but not that great, since it's G80 with 320mb.

For CPU I'd go dual core, and you can find some pretty reasonably priced CPU's, like the E2220 which is $90 for 2.4GHz. That would leave a healthy $210 for the video card, and an 8800GT is available for $160 or $170 now.

As for the monitor, I won't give you brand, just a guideline or two. Find something with a good contrast ratio and low latency. That will enhance your gaming experience, especially online.

Thanks for you advice but i think ill just upgrade a cpu.

Your choice ultimately, of course, but you can read on tom's hardware. their articles state the same thing.

The CPU upgrade will help, but to a degree. Gaming relies heavily on the video card.

But, take from my advice what you will.

Yes i know but i really do not have any money and i bought the video card last summer and all the games work on it.

Your mobo supports a core2 duo, but only to a fsb of 800.
Biggest bang for your buck would just be to replace your CPU with this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6819115032
at $120 it will give you a boost in performance.

Another option would be to replace your mobo with a P43/P45 like this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813131299
and add a more powerful CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6819115052
your RAM wouldn't be optimum, but it would work.
or get a P31/P35 mobo and replace your RAM with DDR2 800
all workable with a $300 budget

I think go with dual core cpu, that will make a difference. Where your GTS is gonna hold you back is when you get that 24 inch your wanting, I don't think it's gonna be able to drive it like you think it will. Why not look into a cheap dual core cpu, say a 9600 gt or cheap 8800gt with 512 mb of ram, and possibly a PSU upgrade, depending on how much amperage your current PSU is pushing. But my opinion, if you hook the 8800gts that you have now to a 24 inch, it may do ok on lower settings, but crank it up to high details and AA and your card may choke.

If you want a good deal btw, tigerdirect.com has had listed in their magazine a 22 inch soyo lcd for 200 bucks. Maybe pick up one of those and use the rest on a better video card.
