Multiple webcams?

I have an uncle that is a music instructor. Some students that have moved want to continue lessons with him. He asked me about using a webcam and a service such as Skype. That is fairly straight-forward. But he also asked if he could use multiple webcams - one with a close up of the piano keys and another wide shot showing him, for example. He would like to be able to instantly switch between the feeds when necessary. Is something like this possible? He has a 2 year old Dell Inspiron, but hasn't purchased a cam yet. What would you recommend for him?
