I'm about to purchase a Dell Inspiron 1525 and I have 2 processor/RAM combos that fit into my budget:

1.
Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 (2.0GHz, 2MB Cache, 667Mhz FSB)
with
4 GB (2 X 2048 MB) 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM
------------
Or
------------
2.
Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 (2.0 Ghz, 2MB Cache, 800MHz FSB)
with
3GB (1 X 2 GB + 1 X 1 GB) 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM

Which of these combinations would offer me better performance? More RAM or more FSB Frequency?

Option 2, unless you're getting a 64 bit OS (in which case I'd go with option 1). 4GB in a 32 bit OS will only show up as 3.2-3.3 GB anyways, which kills any advantage that option 1 would normally have. When that limitation is removed by a 64 bit OS though, the greater quantity becomes the best option.

Option 2 is a better CPU as well.

Both are fine, the extra FSB wont make alot of difference also 4GB RAM doesnt have alot of difference with 3GB,so go for either which is cheaper.
