I bought this board today,
it has the G31 chipset and ive noticed when i overclock my pentium D 940 i hear like a hissing nouse from the board i dont know where it is but im thinking its the chipset or the capacitor. Now is this a energy feature or something..also when i overclock my fps in gears of war stays at 62fps then 2 or 3 mins later goes down to 44 then 50 then goes back up to 62

It could be the CPU/or other fan reving up to keep the CPU cool.

As for the fps, it depends on the scene. Highly complex scenes will reduce fps.
