I have a XFX 9600gso with 768MB DDR2, 192bit, 96 stream processors, GPU Clock 580 MHz & Shader Clock 1450 MHz. I want to know what others have overclocked this to with the stock fan and had running stable without crapping out. I want to run ARMA 2 but im not too positive this card will keep up with other cards and i want to run more than 25fps at most settings maxed. Any help will be appreciated

Intel Pentium E2200 Dual Core 2.20ghz

298gb Hdd

XFX Nvidia GeForce 9600GSO

400 Watt PSU

2549 MB (DDR2 SDRAM)

Try it your self. No one can really tell you how it will work for you.

 

Grab ATITool and start here: http://www.techpowerup.com/wiki/doku.php/atitool/start

 

Keep an eye out for the temps. Keep GPU temp below 90C with max load (ATITool "Artifact Scanner" ).

well i hear that it should easily clock to 675-700 on the core, 1700+ on the shaders but idk i just want to see how high ppl have had em' because i dont want to burn up my card but thanks for the advice

has anyone played arma 2 yet with similar system specs? because i need to know if my pc will cut it, i have no option of cpu overclocking because i have gateway mobo/bios bullshit which has no overclocking options so yea.....

i have mine running stable at 700Mhz and 1600MHz shaders
memory clock also pushes to 450
temps never reach 65C
have pushed it to 735MHz 1700MHz shaders
and 465 memory clock
ran 3dmark vantage but proved unstable in game
