-Give us links. It's easier.
-You can return your case if you just bought it and look at RC-690, Antec Nine Hundred, Antec Three Hundred
-Q6600 because of price, and better OC ability. 9x multiplier vs 8x multiplier.
-Look at AC Freezer 7 Pro for good price/performance ratio, also it's easy to install
-Look at Antec/Corsair/PCP&C PSU, modular PSU is helpful but you still have to spend time making wires neat
-Look at WD6400AAKS
-Get 4GB Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 (2x @2GB) Any 2x 2GB DDR2-800 RAM is fine.

Hey pcgamer12, first thanks for the advice/opinions, but is 4GB ram nessersary? i will only be using Vista 32bit. also i have thoguht of the WD6400AAKS but every1 pointed me towards the samsung saying they were performing really well plus the extra 340GBs is nice :)

If you are doing video editing, get at least 4Gb of ram and Vista 64. If I was building a machine for that, I would get 8Gb. The more the better.

I definitely agree with this.

Also, PC2 6400 will be just fine. And the Q9450 OCs just fine, thankyouverymuch, as long as an OC in the 20-25% range is fine. This will stay very cool on a Q9450 too - the MHC and memory tend to be the bottlenecks.

The WD6400AAKS is great, but the Spinpoints have similar or better performance, and that's got more space... then again, you could just get two drives :D

I like WD6400AAKS. It's price/performance ratio is through the roof. Get the other one if the space is worth it to you.

The q9450 may not reach the same maximum (mhz) speeds as the q6600, but clock for clock it performs better due to the micro-architecture differences in the 65nm and 45nm fabrication if I recall correctly. Though its not much, I know for certain the q9300 has a 7% average efficiency gain over the q6600 at the same clock speeds(even with its crippled cache); I imagine its around the same with the q9450 dependent on how much cache is utilized.

You aren't going to need a 750W power supply at all though. Even with a high overclock on the cpu, and gpu even, you won't get anywhere close to that much power.

Something you should consider about the Zalman cooler, if the fan fails, you'll have to go through the rma process because, you can't replace the fan on its own. For that reason, I bought a Thermalright Ultra 120, as it lets you pick any fan you like. Whether you want high cfm, or silence, the choice is up to you.
