You're going to crossfire, not SLI with the P45, X38, X48 so you'll be using an ATI graphic card. The 2 choices shown with crossfire going to be used i'd go with the X38. I'd check out X48 motherboards though.

Why would you pay for such an overpriced p45 over cheaper x38/48? P45 is meant as mainstream chipset, despite being a high performing one. X38/48 is for the top end. P45 bottlenecks in cf mode, x38/48 do not.

$265 for p45 is a huge ripoff.

And 9800gtx will work fine on Intel chipset boards.
