Check in the applications logs. Are there any errors there?

This can be caused by an incomplete application install. So what are you doing when this happens?

Check the windows update page, to see if you've had some failing updates.

Browse to this path, and see if you can tell what's in it, when it was created and/or modified, and that your user has full rights to it.
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\Logs\tmp.edb

November 8, 2010 9:12:22 PM

It said it was a file fragment found when my disk was found......
Nothing about what program created it, just filled with machine code i guess, full of squares and special characters.....I moved it to another location without any problem and gave it another extension....... , i'll wait and see what happens...
thanks for the suggestion..
