hey guys, i wanna build a new rig, but not sure about the power supply. i know very little when it comes to PSU's but i've been told that the higher/more powerfull the 12V rails are, the better.

im currently using a Omega 600w with 15A and 17A on the 12V1 and 12V2 rails and my 8800GT will not OC no matter what i try.

i want to upgrade to a 4870 soon and found the Raidmax 700ss(20A on all rails) and 630ss(23A on 12V1 and 12V2).

If the "A"z are that important, then these PSU's are some of the best i've seen. What do you guys think??

Building:
AMD Phenom9850
Asus M3A78-T (790gx chip)
2GB Apogee GT DDR1150
250GB HD + 160GB
ATI4870 (i will water cool and OC with Duo Vivo)

b_3d is this the psu you are looking at RAIDMAX QUANTUM RX-700 700W ATX12V V2.2 if it is it has 4- 18 amp rails, and yes you should be ok with it.have not had a raidmax but it looks ok.with the part you are getting I wouldn't get anything under 700 watts.gives you leg room for future upgrade.a good psu means a lot in a stable pc.with the parts you are getting you should be ok,and with that 4870 it will be worth it,don't know how many amps the video card pulls but that psu should handle it.hope this helps you out.lol on you build.
