Is the EVGA 132-ck-nf79-a1 ultra as good as the new 790i SLI FTW ?
the new board has 100% solid state capacitors does this mean the 132-ck-nf79-a1 doesn't and if so what does this mean as far as longevity.

I'm not a fan of Asus even tho it seams it is one of the best boards in the comparisons I've owned several and 8 to 12 months seams to be the life of them and they run noticeably hotter that others any help would be great !!!

and i thought i killed my boards quick...i usually upgrade ever 18 months or so after i try something i prolly should of avoided.

I have the same mobo you do. yes it runs hot, in fact evga screwed up not having a water block like asus does. heard the new ftw's were nothing big, incremental improvements. like 3 2.0 16x pcie slots instead of 2 pcie 2.0 x16 and one 1.1 x16 making three[
