even if some company did market less than 35db, I'd bet the farm that it's a lie to trick you into buying it.
I have a really high cfm fan sitting in a drawer somewhere in the house. i got it for the power, but the noise was just too much. I settled on some yate-loon fans from jab-tech. i got the medium speed, which are plenty powerful and very quiet, not to mention very inexpensive.

I'm looking for a fan for my ultra 120 extreme heatsink. Now I have a Scythe S-FLEX with 64CFM. Do you guys think that's enough and if not, what cfm should i get?
It's probably plenty. Put a fan on the other side of the TRUE in Push Pull. It might help a bit. Now we know what your doing with fans is it a temp problem where you OC too much? Or is it due to poor case airflow? Or the actual mount of the HS?
Did you read in depth the link and use the TONS on info on the website I linked you too? Pretty easy to make your own choice
Yes I read it and it was indeed very helpful to me. The scythe S-FLEX fans are considered very good in the review so I think of buying some of them for my chassis. I also came across the Antec 120mm PRO DBB fan which can produce 79CFM @ 29dB according to the site. Does anyone know whether that can be true or shouldn't I trust Antec fans? Right now I'm puzzeling whether I should buy the new Scythe S-FLEX 1900 RPM (yes, indeed 1900 RPM) or the previously mentioned Antec fan?

every1 of you clearly missed the fact that you CAN have a high cfm fan with low dB...it has to be BIG AS H3LL
antec 900's have those gi-normous vents on the top, those move a ton of air whilst being very very quiet
you CAN'T have a high RPM and low dB if that's what you guys meant... you can find some decent 120mm fans that move good amount of air thats around 20-30db
i believe 28dB is a human whisper or something of that sort?
