I Have a new build PC: mb is Gigabyte GA-EP35C-DS3R - 1 SATA drive and 1 dvd drive
On Power-Up: Post completes ok (all leds lit + 1 beep) but PC then hangs with Verifying Dmi Pool data.
If I remove the HD - boots fine from the dvd drive. Any thoughts? The Drive is recognised correctly in the cmos settings.
Thanks for any help.

Unplug power cord, hook up your SATA DVD & HDD drives, clear cmos for 10 mins, plug power cord in, power on, go to bios, load default, save & exit.

If it hangs at dmi pooling, go to bios, Integrated Peripherals, set Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode to AHCI.

How much ram is it?
