Hi.

i need to buy a new desktop CPU to run the voice recognition program Dragon Naturally Speaking Version 10. The choice I have narrowed it down to is between 2 desktops having different HD audio:

1.a Lenovo IdeaCentre (K series) with Core2Duo and SoundMAX integrated HD audio , and
2.HP Compaq with Core2Duo and Intel integrated HD Audio.

I was wondering if someone could tell me which is a better choice for my application, wiz. voice recognition...

desktop CPU? do you mean a desktop system a CPU is part wihtin the system.

to be really honest here is what i would do, buy an external sound card, nothig to fancy, like a m-audio uSB fast track.

then with what ever is left over by the best Dell or HP you can afford. if your going to work with sound i would use on board audio. including HD realtek solutions.
