1600mhz fsb instead of 1333mhz fsb, Pcie2.0 instead of pcie1, runs slightly cooler. P35 is going out of production, and soon it will be difficult to purchase them or get support for them. That's about it.
With the same cpu and same vga card, you will not see any noticeable difference between P35 and P45 in anything you run. P45 is newer, but the P35 boards have more mature bios. Buy on the basis of price and features.
That all makes sense, and it seems clear that the P45 PCI 2.0 setup is superior to a P35 setup.
But is that noticeable in the real world? Especially since these boards are a developmental dead end (to be superseded by Nehalem), and cutting edge VGA buyers will likely have moved on to Nehalem...

Games are gpu limited, not cpu limited. As long as you're not bottlenecked in term of gpu upgrade, you're good for quite some time.
