Hey guys. I have a build that I was going to use as an htpc.
Two problems.... I cannot get the LAN working on motherboard.
I have tried wireless adapters and Windows Vista Ultimate 64 does not recognize when new hardware is detected. It will not install drivers. I can't even connect when my internet cable is installed directly into mobo.
Also. When connected to my 42" 1080p LCD tv, the resolution sets at 1920x1080 but it doesn't use all the screen. There are black bars along the top, bottom and sides.
Also. Sound does not play through the DVI - HDMI cable. it shows as working in windows, but nothing comes out. I know that the vid card supports sound through HDMI, but do i need one of the converters on the back of the video card? or will a DVI-HDMI cable work?
Yeah HDMI is selected. Funny thing is, the speakers worked just fine when I set it up at my computer station. Now the speakers don't show up on the sound properties menu.
I fixed the black band problem, for some reason underscan was selected in ATI control panel. I set it back to 0 and all is good there.
I am downloading the driver now. I'll let you know.
