Best hard-disk for a gaming PC?

Hi all, I am looking for the current's fastest SATA disk for gaming (single hard-disk, no RAID). Is the Western-Digital Velociraptor 300GB 10K RPM still the best? What about the new WD RE4-GP 2TB, is it worth the extra-high premium price? I'm torn these disks and the venerable WD Caviar Black. series. Is there any other model I should look at?

Thanks in advance!

My opinion:

2 x Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB in RAID 0
(This will be for your OS and games. The Spinpoint is a single platter HDD, which makes it fast.)
+
WD Caviar Black/Blue 1TB (for data)

Total cost : approx $200.00

OR

Kingston SSDNow 64GB SATA II 2.5" SSD (for OS + games)
+

WD Caviar Black/Blue 1TB (for data)

Total cost: approx $230.00

OR

4 x Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB in RAID 0+1

This solution will give you only 1 TB HDD space, but it will give you the speed of RAID 0 and the reliability of RAID 1. IMO, 1TB is enough for now.

Total Cost: Approx. $200.00
