I have Windows 7 64bit edition and I have a gigabyte x48 ds5 mobo. The mobo came with Easytune5 but I have had problems getting it to load. I started to use it once, prob pushed some freq too high, my pc rebooted and I haven't been able to run it since. I have since done a little o.c.ing in bios with no problems but it would be much more convenient to use easytune from the desktop. I'm guessing its prob a driver related issue with windows 7. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

1. DO NOT OC through Windows. What's so hard about OCing in BIOS any ways?

2. DO NOT install the DES (Dynamic Energy Saver) software.

all windows run applecations for overclocking are epic crap, (excuse the language) but easytune is the best,

get easytune 6 and see if that runs, its for the i7's/lga1336 chipset's but you may have luck with it.

your best bet though is looking around the forum for overclocking tips and how-to's then doing it through the BIOS

its a lot better and you can make your system as safe/hardcore as you want (before you damage it)

I haven't had any problems working in the bios and overclocking there. I just would like to see how this worked but haven't been able to get it to run properly. I'll stick with bios. Thanks.
