I got a Sapphire 4850 GPU and Arctic Cooling S1 Rev.2 today from newegg.
Should I replace the heatsink after I give it a try to see that it works? Does it void the warranty?
Also, should I replace all the "little" heatsinks(ram sink or vrm sink? idk what they're called) with the ones that come with S1? It'll be really helpful if any of you guys had a picture or even a diagram showing where to put them.

Thanks in advance.

AFAIK replacing the sink on most brands DOES void the warranty.
The 4850 does run hot. I will replace mine when a good sink comes out, and yes, u do need the ram sinks too.

When i got my last aftermarket cooler (thermalright for 8800GTS) it came with the ram sinks.

So, as far as RAM sink placement is concerned, just take out the original ones and put them on the same spot I guess? Any additional ones needed? Saw some articles talking about voltage regulators and some others needing the sinks.

the above links will give you a good idea on how to fit the cooler you got into the card you have.

Thanks for the awesome links! I guess I would have to put 12 heatsinks on... Lot of work! lol.
