I know I should know this but....
Somehow my Times New Roman "main" font (i.e., not italicized or bold) became
corrupted or disappeared (it doesn't appear in the fonts folder).
I've tried reinstalling it but I get an error message indicating that the
"Times New Roman Font is in use and can't be reinstalled - wait until
Windows is done with the font and try again."

Hi Jan, Sometimes Windows Xp will not let you install fonts that are alredy
there or in use, I have had to reinstall fonts and the only way I was
successful was to rename the font old.ttf then install the new font to the
desktop, then drag the new font from the desktop to the fonts folder. I am
sure there are other ways to do it but this worked for me... Rainy ps. if
I'm wrong I am sure someone will pipe up. "JanDG" <jandg@cableone.net> wrote in message
