I built a friend a machine a while ago and I have a challenge. The display shows what looks to me like little flags, but they are not solid...kind of wavy and transparent. I installed the latest drivers but no help there. I have the system in safe mode now and am running antivirus software. In safe mode it looks like 8 columns of lights...kind of like the original Enterprise com system if htat makes any sense.

Anyway, I'd appreciate any thoughts as to what may be going on here. Could the GPU havve just gone bad?

Thanks!

Eddie

that would be my first guess. what are the specs of this pc in question? Its could be a GPU overheating issue.
