Hey Guys,

just bought a HP Pavilion a6560t and the MB has 4 DIMM slot, 2BG pre installed,(DDR2 6400) and I would like to add 1 more gig....

so do i jyst get a 1gb stick or do i have to get 2x512mb and fill up the whole dimm slots.

I understand Vista 32 version only recognize up to 3 gigis this true?)

any help would b appreciated

Your ram is probably in dual channel, so best to get 2x512MB, yes your are right about the 3GB thing up to 3.5GB sometimes. Just get the same speed are you current memory. You can check the speed using this program http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpuz_147.zip. Good Luck.

You could go to crucial.com to find out what ram to look for, then get the 2x512mb sticks on ebay. If you had a 64bit OS you could get the full 4gb.
