I def want one of these I think the types of games I play are like MMOs like Age of Conan and stuff like that, Warhammer Online, Starcraft 2, I want to be ready for the new dx10.1's as well!
Idk should I just save 100 bucks and get the really good version of the GTX 260?

I was just actually looking at replacing my motherboard with an SLI motherboard and thinking about SLi 2 cards like the g92 8800gts cards I think that will work really well what do you guys think, I think it's worth the extra money and I would probably have to replace my 650 watt PSU with like an 800 watt one you guys think?

Well, neither of those is dx10.1 ready, so if you want that, don't go for either. With that budget, you want an ATI HD4870 or wait a couple weeks for the 4870X2. Those will give you DX10.1 support and plenty of speed. What's your current motherboard?

My current motherboard is an EVGA Nforce 650i Ultra NON-sli, what do you think, I don't want to upgrade my motherboard right now If I don't have to but I would If I am going to get a 4870x2 when it comes out in a couple weeks

I also currently have a 650watt Antec PSU

You would not need to upgrade your mobo for a 4870x2.

Why? Do you mean power supply? I have a PCi-express slot and all?

Oh I didn't read you carefully, I DON'T need to upgrade my mobo, but I was talking about the PSU.

psu probably as the gtx 280 or gtx 260 use up a lot of power.

well I don't know I have a 650 Watt PSU now, do you guys think the ATI 4870x2 will need a PSU upgrade idk? or the GTX 200 series cards?

Reply to mf2385

That PSU will probably run fine with any of those cards, assuming it is a good brand and you don't plan on SLI in the future. Someone correct me if I am wrong on this.

If the PSU has enough amps you should be fine.

Not too sure on the power requirements of the x2 yet though.

well I don't plan on SLi really just want to be good with either the 4870x2 no problem either that or the gtx 280 or id probably end up sli if those choices no good it will cost me more to buy a new motherboard and possibly PSU and 2 lower video cards to SLi tho, I think 1 very good card is also a good choice, such as those I mentioned
