My computer has been running flawlessy until I tried to add http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6815166007 into my PCI1 slot. I think that I may have tried to force in the card a bit and I may have bent one of the contacts in the PCI1 slot when trying to install it. After I tried to install the PCI card my X-Fi Sound Blaster (installed in the PCI2 slot) stopped being recognized. It does not show up in Device Manager at all. I tried the X-Fi in another computer and it works perfectly. Also I tried a different Sound Blaster card in this computer and it also is not recognized. I guess that my question is, If I did bend one of the contacts in the PCI1 slot, could it cause the PCI2 slot to not work? On another note my 1394 also stopped working. During reboot I noticed that the selection in the Bios to enable/disable the 1394 is no longer there. Could this be related also?

It could if both cards are installed in both slots. Try installing only the sound card. If it is recognized by windows, then it may be a conflict with the new card. Probably IRQ.
Your mobo has onboard parallel which should be disabled. Go to bios, Integrated Peripherals, disable Onboard Serial Port 1 & Onboard Parallel Port.
Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned that I never got the Parallel card working. The first time I put it when, It didn't work. So I removed it right away. I have since put that into another computer. So I only have the Sound Card in now. the other PCI slot is empty. This is how it was set up to begin with.
Also, I did upgrade the Bios to version...umm I think F13. This was before I noticed that I lost my choice to enable/disable the 1394.
I'm gonna reboot now to check the Parallel port options.
Any Ideas, before I look to pick up a replacement? I will more then likely just pick up the same board somewhere. Unless I can find a comparable board.
1. The PCI2 slot is not recognizing any sound card that I try. The cards do not even show up in the device manager.
2. The 1394 ports do not work. When I look in the bios, the coice to enable/disable them is not there.
