I have the HP Pavilion m8120n desktop running the Q6600. I just upgraded to the EVGA 8800 GTS KO. I am an avid gamer and my I can only add DDR2 to it. Does anyone have any suggestions of what memory would be best to go with. Also I currently am only running the 32bit Vista Premium Home so would it also be advisable to go to 4Gb of ram cause I currently only have 3Gb. I am just trying to optimize my comp in everyway that I can, so any and all help is greatly appreciated. :)

Are you under the impression that you will be able to use the full 4 GB of RAM with vista 32? It's no different than XP 32.

You will have somewhere between 2.8 and 3.5 GB of memory available for use when you put 4GB in. The only difference with Vista 32 is that it will recognize that you have 4 GB in the machine. It will not be able to use it all.

I've looked over your specs at :

and I don't see any further easy upgrades really.

No I know that it will not use the full 4Gb, I am just trying to find out if I upgrade from my stock memory to something else will it be better for everything or will I not notice much of a difference. Considering that I have 3Gb of memory now. I am just looking to get the best performance I can with what I have for now. I noticed a dramatic difference with my video card upgrade and just am wondering if its worth the money to upgrade my memory and will the difference be noticable even more on my gaming experience with better memory.

Given that your RAM is the correct speed for your FSB, according to the spec sheet, I don't see much gain in upgrading it. You MB is probably fairly limited as to what will run easily on it, as well.
