i have built a system. when starting it up the system will look fine and then when i get into windows the system will suddenly come up with a garbled up screen. cant make anything out. updated drivers a couple times. seems to work for a couple days and then it comes back. Using windows xp pro, athlon 64 processor and nividia 5500 agp card. need help desperately. thanks

Sounds like there is some kind of graphics issue, but I'm sure you gathered that. I don't know anything about the 5500 series, so I'm not likely to be of any use...

i am not sure if it is graphics related. By holding down the ctrl button during windows loading up the desktop it will start properly does anyone know what this means?
