no beeps, can get into bios. somethings a miss here?

hey everyone. i just got through biulding my new system. here is what i have.


CASE: Antec Nine Hundred Mid tower

MOTHERBOARD: Asus P5Q-PRO P45

PSU: PC Power & Cooling S61EPS 610W

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

CPU COOLER: XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle with retention bracket

RAM: CORSAIR XMS2 DHX 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

GRAPHICS: ASUS Radeon HD 4850 512MB

HDD: WD Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s.

OS Vista Home Premium SP1 32-bit English 1pk for System Builders DSP OEI DVD - OEM...$100

CD/DVD drive: SAMSUNG 20X DVD±R DVD Burner/Writer with LightScribe SATA

MONITOR: Princeton VL2018W 20-inch Widescreen LCD max. res. 1680 x 1050


ok, here is the deal. i can start everything up, get into bios, but no beeps along the way. all drives, cpu, ram are recognized. the cd/dvd is also reconized but it only opens the cd holder but does not close and if pushed close does not spin any cd. i rechecked all jumpers and connections everything is cool. so what up with no beeping beeps?? anyone have an idea. i have also tried removing the gpu and ram then start up still no beeps.

yup those beeps:D. speakers i dont think this case has any. well at least everything is working. did find out i need a new monitor though. thanks for the help. have to wait a couple days before i load the os. so i guess i will see then. thanks again.
