My computer will not recognize me as the administrator i cant do anything why?

I cant download anything, no games, nothing, anything i try and do it say's i cant freaking adminstrator!!! i even pressed CTRL+ALT+DEL twice, changed my password and still nothing, i want to throw it out the window it's driving me crazy, helppppp pleasssee

It's not the password that's the issue. Your user profile needs to be defined as an administrator.

Go to the control panel-->user accounts-->can you see your user, and the account type?
