NEVER MIND!!! While in game it performs as expected...
I recieved my Dell XPS 1530 about a month ago and have recently looked into overclocking my graphics/memory to get a little extra performance out of it. I downloaded RivaTuner and went to view what my graphics card, which is a 256mb 8600M GT GDDR3, was set at and I was instantly worried at how low the numbers seemed...
From what I have read an 8600m GT clocks should be at 475 for core and 900 for shader, my clocks are only at 1/3 power!!!
So am I reading something wrong, is the graphics card defective, should I just clock it up to normal standards, or should I call Dell and ask them what is up???
Thanks for your help on this matter.

Are you on battery, or on wall? Also, what are your current power settings (power saver? balanced?). My Geforce Go 7950GTX clocks down to 100 core/300 memory when on battery or on power saver.
EDIT: just saw your edit. Carry on...
