I have a q9400, gigabyte x48 ds5 mobo and 8gb ocz 1066 ddr2 ram. Q9400 at 3.0ghz ran 24 hrs prime95 stable never going above 37c. OC to 3.2@1.23v ram at 5-5-5-15 2.08v and now prime95 fails after first test on atleast 2 of 4 cores. My temps are no prob, please help. I have seen post after post of q9400 @ atleast 3.4ghz stable on air. What should I do?

So I upped the volts and everything looked great for about 5 minutes then it froze. Didn't fail, just froze up my whole pc. Now I think its my ram. I have tried increasing the volts, raising and lowering the frequency, and loosening the timings but now it always freezes up. I can understand a core failing but my pc isn't suposed to freeze up. Any suggestions?

Q9400 could hit 3.0Ghz without any voltage increase... when I had mine, I would hit 3.6Ghz with 1.315v (gigabyte P45). Prime & OCCT stable.
