asus k8n-e compatible with nvidia

My motherboard is an ASUS K8N-E. I purchased a Nvidia 5500 series graphics card, but when I went to install the software CD, it stopped the progression of loading, it says, this card is not compatible with your hardware. The other hardware I can think of is the Samsung Write-Master, HDD Western Digital. Does anyone know what Nvidia card series would be compatible with my ASUS MB? I am using AMD 2.8 mhz, 1.5 MB RAM, plenty of disk space, Thank you..

This the latest Windows XP Nvidia driver for the 5500. If you look at the 'products supported' tab, you will see the 5500 listed there.

I downloaded the Nvidia Drivers as suggested in the UR address yo gave me in the below message, but still how do I install the drivers? When I install the card, I still see all normal as it was with the old Nvidia 5200 card. But then should I uninstall the old drivers first? If so, do I use the CD that came with the 5500, or do I install the drivers with the downloaded file? Sorry for the confusion.
