Is there any website or program that will help you optimize the display on your monitor?

I mean other than "your preference" how do you know your colors are true, and that your monitor is at the picture it should be?

why not take a photo of something and put it on your comp then adjust it till it matches what it looks like in real life. o.k so that probably isn't a good way to do it but hell, best i can come up with on the spot.

no doubt some people who work in design will point you in the right direction.

For better calibration you will need to by a colorimeter which is a hardware device used to adjust the monitor's color profile. A colorimeter will cost anywhere between $80 to $300. Generally, the more expensive, the better because of options and accuracy.

Monitors using TN panel techs will never have "true colors" due o the limitation of the technology itself.

There is a dvd you can pick up that will allow you to calibrate your display.

It even has color filters in it to allow you to correct them.

Works wonders on my displays, from plasma to lcd....

DVE- Digital Video Essentials.

$40 or less on ebay.

To truly get accurate color, you need to calibrate your monitor with a hardware colorimeter. Those can be expensive though.
