My Panasonic TC-32LX50 has an HDMI digital input.
My computer has an SVGA analog output.
If I buy the right adapters: SVGA to DVI & DVI to HDMI, can I connect my
computer to the TC-32LX50? Or is there a good reason why I should not do
this?

No.
VGA is analog. Although DVI can carry analog on the additional wires,
HDMI cannot, so the adapters wouldn't have continous wires from the
computer to the display.

Hi James,
Good question. Unfortunalty it is not possible.
HDMI is Digital only.
The SVGA output is Analog
The only suggestion I have is for you to buy a NEW Radeon Video card
with DVI-D(digital) and look specifically for TMDS or HDCP compliant on
the back of the video card box.
TMDS is the signaling method used for HDMI. I saw an ATI video card
that can do this.

James:
Purchase an SVGA to HDMI adapter box.
Connect your computer OUT to the SVGA in on the box.
Connect the HDMI out on the box to an HDMI in on your HDTV.
Will work fine.
