Hello everyone.
I have a Digital Video Recorder hooked up to my Linksys WRT54G router. I am trying to set my Siemens 4100 modem (AT&T one port modem) to bridge mode and Linksys router as PPPOE so that it can handle my LAN IPs. This way I am thinking that I will not have any problems watching my survaillence cameras over the internet using www.dvrdns.net DDNS server. Can anybody please explain to me step by step what I should do to get this network running properly without my internet connection dropping every 5 minutes.
Right now I can configure router with DHCP and modem PPPOE but as soon as IP changes all the set up changes, I can not watch my cameras over the internet no more. Thank you.
I also want to thank cyberthunder9000 and darkflame for their excellent explanations.
