For me switching to SLi or Xfire would be a totally new thing for me I have through the years had one single gpu video solution. I would have to buy a new mobo and 2 video cards and check it out? What do you guys think
should I stick with a 1 gpu solution better video card like a 4870 or get 2 8800gts and SLi it out?
Any remarks please!
thanks
im really considering getting an SLi mobo and like 2 8800gt video cards, which in benchmarks do better then a gtx 280, and this would cost less too
It actually costs me less to upgrade my motherboard to a 750i SLI EVGA with pci express 2.0 and more stuff that I don't have now including SLi, and get 2 EVGA 8800GT cards ten it does for the GTX 280..
2 9800GTX Black editions in SLi is that a monster or what? I might just upgrade my Motherboard now for SLi and pci-e 2.0 and get a 9800GTX Black Edition for now, since my monitor is kind of small and I don't need big resolutions or anything.

what should I do? Is it time to SLi?
Might. Im watching a 135$ 8800GT in newegg after rebates. 2xGT still pack quite a punch. Check the benchies, but i guess is a very nice decision.

yeah idk if I want to get 2 8800gt video cards I might get one 9800GTX now and upgrade my Motherboard SLi and PCI-E 2.0 and then upgrade to another one in the future, 1 9800GTX Black Edition OC is quite good for my low res needs, I don't use a big monitor only 19' monitor 17'' playable, so yeah, what do you guys think about that decision?
omg mf 2385... seriously you have like 5 threads going... all of them are about the same thing... what card to get... my god your answered in EVERY SINGLE THREAD as well... stop making pointless posts
Try to decide if you will want a second card later or not. If you do want it, get the DS4 and the 750TX so you don't have to replace anything later and to avoid bottlenecks. If you're sure one card is enough, get the cheaper MB and PSU.
Or, keep your motherboard and half of the cash and get an HD 4870. You get less performance but you spend only $300, and it's a lot less work too.
Or, you can wait for the HD 4850x2 (TBH I have no idea when it will show up and at what price) and get one of those. It probably won't be at its best in a PCI-E 1 slot on your current motherboard, but it will beat the HD 4870 anyway.
