Video Card Companies, is there a difference?

I'm about to buy a new video card as part of a new rig but before I do I was wondering if anyone knew of any benefits of one video card company over another. For instance I am buying the 4870 for $280 at tiger direct since it's the cheapest price compared to the others. Is there any difference between video card companies (like vision tek or HIS or saphirre)?

Those 3 you mentioned are all getting very good reviews at newegg for their HD 4870. Sapphire seems to sell more than anybody else. Personally I've used Sapphire cards before, but not HD 4870. I'd trust them again.
