I am slowly trying to oc my q9400 and have been doing ok until now. At 3ghz prime ran for 12+ hrs with no probs and temps never over 38c. But now at 3.2ghz everything boots up ok but when I run prime my pc freezes up after a minute or two. I'm not getting a failed core post, everything just stops and I have to reset. I'm pretty sure its my ram settings doing this. I have 8gigs ocz 1066 ddr2 platinum with 5-5-5-15 timings 1066mhz 2.1v, this sounds like these settings should work but I am definately a noob and would like some helpful criticism.

Well, I'd start scaling down my RAM voltage first, since memory overclocking tends to cause more stability problems than modified CPUs IMO. Go down to 2.0v?

Oh, and how's your last stable setup doing? Maybe you can post benchmarks here? :)
