So I just bought a new pair of RAM from newegg: Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X2048-6400 G as an upgrade to my current RAM pair which are Corsair ValueSelect VS1GB800D2. Both are PC6400 according to CPU-Z, I don't know if they have different timings and voltages though, if that matters.

The old ones are in Slots 1 and 3, and I put the new ones in Slots 2 and 4. My board is a Asus P5N-E SLI board, my OS is Vista Ultimate 32-bit.

When I started it up, I would be able to login but get BSODs after a minute or so. Is there something wrong with my new RAM? Or do they just not like each other? :P Right now I'm using just the new RAM and it seems to be working fine for now.

Could there be a way for them to work together, or would I be better off buying another 2 sticks of new RAM to save me headaches?

Thanks!

seems likely that there is a voltage problem, check the specs that came with your ram,it may be that one needs more voltage and different timings than the other, usually if you install the slower in front of the faster the system will accept them both,,but,,you need to check with your mobo manual to be sure,it should be mentioned in the ram install section,,some mobo's will ,and,,some won't..OTOH,,,,you can buy two more of the better ram and sell the value stuff,or use in a less demanding system....:)
