I'm looking for a motherboard that would work with my AMD Phenom 9750 Quad Core. I'm not fully sure if I want one with or without onboard video because I really don't know what kind of a difference it makes. I am new to pc world so keep that in mind. Any help would be great.
Newegg sells an ecs gf8200 board with 4 ddr2 slots, onboard video, and hdmi support for around $60 after rebate. You didn't list a budget, so I'm assuming you are looking for value. If you want to overclock, read the anandtech article about the new DFI 790 chipset board and 9950 phenom. I'm not much of an overclocker, but you may want to try it. The amd onboard solutions are better than Intel, but almost any video card will outperform them. The new 4850 video cards are a pretty good value; the 8800gt cards are being closed out, and should work fine with most games.
I just ordered this:
GIGABYTE GA-MA790GP-DS4H AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail for $139
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813128352 It will be used in a non to light gaming, heavy internet / office system.
If you're going to game, you'll want a discrete GPU, like the HD4850 o1die suggests.

Yeah that Gigabyte that jtt283 mentions is a great board. Its probably the fastest on board graphics board since it's pretty much like getting a free Radeon 3470. It's very good for overclocking AMD chips and supports crossfire. If you already have a PCI-E video card though and don't plan to overclock but still want a stable board you should consider the GIGABYTE GA-MA770-DS3
